Title

Theatre Modo worked with a dozen groups in Govan, Glasgow (after school, youth groups and primary schools) to create circus and street theatre performances. For Govan Gathering Light, Theatre Modo led a flamboyant and colourful street parade involving several hundred young people led up to a spectacular finale where groups performed routines using stilt walking, fire performance, shadow puppetry and dance to an audience of over 1,000.

"It was great cos I got to do something I love with my friends." Participant

"The workshops were well received. The young people benefited from learning new skills, co-operating /working together and performing. Pupils who do not enjoy much success in academic areas were motivated and achieved good results. They appeared enthusiastic and more confident: a worthwhile experience for all pupils." Class teacher

"The best thing about doing it was because you meet lots of new people and learn to be more confident." Participant
